Sahjani Shiksha Kendra (SSK) is a feminist organization which is empowering women and adolescent girls through literacy and education. It started in 2002 in Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh.  SSK’s is working in 250 villages of Mahrauni, Madawara, Birdha,Jakhoura and Baar block of Lalitpur (U.P.)

Last 20 years, almost 14118 Dalit, Adivasi and Backward caste women and girls has been part of Literacy and educational activities. Currently, SSK is also working on children’s education.

SSK is actively engaging with right to work, right to food, right to education and violence against women’s issues at the community level. It works step by step in the fight for women’s movement and rights.

Sahjani Shiksha Kendra is a registered Societies Registration Act and Donations to Sahjani Shiksha Kendra are exempt from income tax under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
