Laxmi

You can never see sadness on the face of Laxmi. She is ever smiling.Laxmi comes from Basor caste of Dalit community which is treated as the lowest caste. Laxmi got associated with SSK in 2008.She ran the literacy centre in Mehrauni block. She was looked down upon and discriminated by the women of literacy centre because of her background.Laxmi was not allowed to enter the houses but she never gave up. She took classes in the open ground under a tree. Today Laxmi is at the post of supervisor and helps the teachers in 8 literacy centres of Madawara village.
